HOWIE “STRETCH” SCHULTZ WAS A FIRST BASEMAN IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES FOR 6 YEARS— WITH THE BROOKLYN DODGERS FROM 1943-1947, WITH THE PHILLIES FROM 1947-1948, AND WITH THE REDS IN 1948. (HE ALSO PLAYED 6 YEARS IN THE NBA- FROM 1946-1953—- WITH THE ANDERSON PACKERS, THE FORT WAYNE PISTONS, & THE MINNEAPOLIS LAKERS.) HOWIE SCHULTZ DIED OCTOBER 30, 2009. Offered is a lot of 100 signed baseball index cards, government postcards and other 3×5 flats from a collection of over 10,000 built by a longtime collector over the course of his life. THIS LOT WILL ONLY INCLUDE MLB PLAYERS WHO DEBUTED FROM THE 1910s-1960s, with many in the first half of those decades. THERE WILL BE NO DUPLICATES!! The vast majority of these cards will be in great condition, but many were signed 60-70 years ago -or even earlier- and some will show their age.
